I graduated from the Department of Life Science at Tunghai University with a B.S. degree and from the Institute of Molecular Medicine at National Tsing Hua University (NTHU) with an M.S. degree. During my undergraduate studies, my research focused on ecological mycology, investigating how different concentrations of zinc oxide-based antifungal coatings affected fungal growth and microbial community composition. During my master's studies at NTHU, I used fission yeast as a model organism to investigate the role of a nuclear envelope assembly protein in sexual reproduction, with a particular focus on the relationship between nuclear envelope integrity and sexual reproduction. I am currently a research assistant in the PIE Lab at Academia Sinica. I am eager to learn new molecular and microbiological techniques while further developing my critical thinking and research skills.
