I graduated from Monash University Malaysia's Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Genomics and Bioinformatics. I then furthered my Master's training at Universiti Malaya, Malaysia, with a project that constructed polar fungal whole genomes, molecular species identification, and computational analyses to search and evaluate their biosynthetic gene clusters. Now at the LAB of PIE as a PhD student, I look to move my sights beyond computational data and expand my understanding past a singular fungi, by examining how it can interact with other microbes and affect each other as well as their surroundings, with a future goal to potentially manipulate them for beneficial outcomes in real-world settings.Â
But other than working, I also enjoy going to live music shows (especially rock and metal!), being around greenery and nature, such as camping and picnicking, playing badminton, playing the guitar occasionally, eating good food, and socializing with friends.
