Chelsea came all the way from the US to visit us. Chelsea will start her PhD career at the UW this Fall. Super awesome news! All the best to her!

We had a great time in the EMBO workshop: Evolving Together-From Genomics to Biological Interactions. Mind-blowing science + great food + sweet gifts! Shih-Yun presented her Mg2+ project, and it was well received!

Congratulations to An-I for having a poster award in the 2026            Mi Talk conference. 

We celebrated An-I's effort and Rita's birthday with a delicious fruitcake and Malaysian buns (yummy!). 

We celebrated our very first lab birthday with Hong-Yu’s—what a milestone! It was made even sweeter by a delicious showcase of Rita’s incredible baking skills (we are so lucky!). We then kicked off the holiday season with an unexpectedly peaceful and joyful White Elephant exchange. To top it all off, Yu-Jung created a beautiful, artistic Christmas decoration for the lab. Happy holidays! 

When coffee meets science, everyone is happy. When buffet meets science, we get more energy for experiments.
